Update: Adopted October 2016

This is Izzy, a 12-year-old beauty whose owner decided she was no longer wanted and signed her over to Greenville County Animal Care, a kill shelter in Upstate South Carolina. Izzy needs immediate rescue or adoption, as senior cats don’t do well in an overcrowded shelter. Being an owner surrendered kitty also means Izzy may be killed for any reason at any time.

Greenville County Animal Care is a high intake shelter located on Furman Hall Road in Greenville, South Carolina. It’s crowded, dogs are constantly barking and cats just don’t do well in a shelter environment.

There is a serious situation taking place at this time. Owner surrenders are being killed for space. They’re the first to die when the Greenville shelter runs out of space.

You can help Izzy by sharing her story and by clicking here to pledge toward her rescue. Izzy is also available for adoption!
